Guy Wakeley - Chief Executive Officer

Guy Wakeley

Guy joined the Equiniti Board as Chief Executive Officer in January 2014.

 

Guy joins from Morrison plc, the property services provider to the public and private sectors,  where he was CEO for five years. During his tenure he transformed the level of client service and innovation, grew the business rapidly and delivered consistent strong cash generation.

 

Prior to this Guy was Managing Director of the Built Environment division at Amey, the infrastructure services provider to the public and private sector.  Guy previously worked for The Berkeley Group, General Electric and Rolls-Royce. He holds an MA in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge, a PhD in applications of artificial intelligence, and is a Chartered Engineer. 

Martyn Hindley - Chief Financial Officer

Martyn Hindley

Martyn is the Chief Financial Officer of the Equiniti Group, a role he was appointed to in December 2012.

 

He joined the Equiniti Group from Emap where he held the position of CFO. Emap is a private equity owned international business to business media group. His sector experience also includes publishing, marketing, business support services, supply chain and logistics.

 

Prior to this Martyn held senior positions with PwC, Blenheim Group PLC, and Northcliffe Media.

 

In his previous roles, Martyn was involved in driving transformational change and leading complex transactions including M&A activity.

 

Martyn qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse after graduating in Accountancy from the University of East Anglia. He is a member of ICAEW.

Lucy Dimes - Chief Operating Officer

Lucy Dimes

Lucy was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Equiniti in March 2014. She was previously Chief Executive UK & Ireland for Alcatel-Lucent and prior to that had a successful career in BT plc spanning 19 years and culminating in the role of Managing Director Group & Openreach Operations.

 

Lucy is a Non-Executive Director for Berendsen PLC and a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. She is also a Trustee for the Garden Bridge Trust and the Safer London Foundation and is an Ambassador for Lucy Air Ambulance for Children.

 

Lucy has an MBA from London Business School, a First Class Degree in Business and a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma. She is an alumna of the Harvard Business School ‘Global Women Leaders’ programme, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Critical Eye Advisory Board.

 

Lucy was awarded the Corporate Leader of the Year at the 2013 FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards and the ‘First Woman’ Award in Science & Technology at the 2013 CBI Awards.

Paul Matthews - Managing Director, Corporate Markets

Paul Matthews

Paul Matthews is responsible for working with the UK’s leading businesses to deliver successful transactions including IPO’s and corporate actions for a client base covering 50% of the FTSE100 and circa 40% of the FTSE250.  He is responsible for delivering growth – organically by cultivating deeper relationships with listed clients and through acquisition.  Paul joined Equiniti in 2011 as Managing Director.  His background and knowledge of the securities industry brings an important skill set to Equiniti’s senior team, helping shape our offering to listed companies both in the UK and globally.

 Paul’s stock market experience spans 30 years.  He leads Equiniti’s partnership with the Global Share Alliance, a worldwide network of businesses providing registry and related services across diverse equity markets.  Prior to joining Equiniti in 2011, Paul was a Managing Director at the investment bank JPMorgan Cazenove, a career spanning over 25 years.  During this time, he worked on a multitude of the largest and most complex corporate transactions, encompassing both UK and cross-border deals including a large number of IPOs.

David Beresford - Director of Strategy and Business Development

David Beresford

David is responsible for Equiniti’s growth strategy which is focussed on delivering business services underpinned by leading technology to meet the needs of FTSE 350 companies and the Government. 

David has held a number of senior leadership positions across strategy, business development and transformation, including responsibility for businesses up to £300m across CPG, Retail, Public sector, Aviation and Manufacturing. He has worked on PLC and Executive Boards for the last fifteen years. His most recent role was at Serco as Global MD of Management Consulting involved in winning and delivering transformation programmes and outsourcing contracts.
