Equiniti has successfully reunited over 67,000 investors with unclaimed funds worth more than £61 million in 2014

Equiniti has successfully reunited over 67,000 investors with unclaimed funds worth more than £61 million in 2014, according to Equiniti’s reunification figures announced today.

Currently in the UK it is estimated that there is £4bn in unclaimed investments and reuniting individuals can be a timely and complex process. With over 20 years of expertise within this area, Equiniti has led the way in intelligent investor location and asset reunification programmes. Successfully returning millions of pounds in unclaimed assets to their rightful owners.

Utilising highly agile and scalable technologies to standardise and enrich data together with powerful profiling and matching solutions, Equiniti has reunited 621,680 investors with over 600 million pounds of unclaimed investments in total.

Duncan Stevens, Head of asset reunification at Equiniti, said: “We continue to work closely with shareholders and investors to help reunite them with their unclaimed assets.  Death, emigration or even just a change of address may mean that investors are unwittingly parted from their investments.  Many investors are not even aware that they have such monies due to them and, in some cases, they can be owed many thousands of pounds.”
