Equiniti is delighted to announce its category sponsorship at this year’s FDM everywoman in Technology Awards, an annual event which celebrates influential businesswomen across the technology industry.

The Innovator of the Year category will recognise a woman who is implementing an innovative technological solution and as a result, is changing the industry in a positive way.

Technological innovation is at the core of Equiniti’s business, and the awards present an opportunity to reinforce its vision for leadership in technology. Equiniti COO Lucy Dimes is a previous everywoman in Technology Awards category winner and is driving the business forward through innovation in technology while inspiring many women to do the same.

Rod Alderton, CIO, Equiniti adds: “Everyone in business is responsible for driving his or her own career trajectory but companies can support by providing access to training and development tools that can accelerate this learning. Working with everywoman provides a forum for talented women to access insight, advice, and specific discussion topics relevant to the challenges they face in the workplace which will help them become more effective in their roles and thus able to make an even greater positive impact. As a result, we are delighted to be a sponsor of the 2015 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards.”

The British technology industry is thriving and is predicted to be worth £221bn by 2016. As a result it is estimated that by 2022 the UK will need at least 1.82 million new engineering, science and technology professionals.
