My background is in physics and I have a PhD in this subject and begun my work life in a laboratory, however this job did not meet my expectations and I started to think about changing my path.
During my studies, I was interested in programming. When I started to build a career in programming the lack of practical experience was a big obstacle in finding a position.
I found a job at a small software development company as a tester! In the first weeks with the first tasks, the world of unit testing began to draw me in. Working with code was what I wanted to do. I wanted to learn more about the profession of a tester, what technologies it could work in, what the development opportunities were, etc.
After a few months, I started studying QA Engineering. I gained knowledge in test automation, passed the ISTQB exam. After over a year and after maternity leave, I decided that it was time for another change.
I still had the test automation in the back of my mind; this is how I found my way to EQTek. Now I am doing exactly what I wanted. I think EQTek could be my destiny!
