Equiniti’s Worthing staff dress in pink to raise money for Breast Cancer

Equiniti Group plc (“Equiniti”), one of the largest local employers in Worthing, has raised £596.33 for ‘Breast Cancer Now’ after Equiniti Worthing employees dressed head-to-toe in pink and baked a selection of cakes on Friday 19th October.

‘Breast Cancer Now’ are the UK’s largest breast cancer research charity and are dedicated to funding research for this life threatening disease. With one in eight women in the UK expected to face breast cancer in their lifetime and a woman dying from the disease every 45 minutes, Equiniti have put their foot down and decided to support this fantastic charity.

The Worthing Equiniti office became extremely vibrant with all employee’s wearing different shades of pink and selling a delicious selection of cakes. Staff made time during last Friday to rally up contributions for the charity, reaching a brilliant £596.33.

Kate Prangnell, CSR Co-ordinator at Equiniti commented: 

“It was a fantastic atmosphere in the office on Friday, with everyone dressed in pink clothing and devouring delicious cakes. It is humbling to know we were all doing it for such a fantastic charity. Equiniti are keen to continue supporting the local community and charities.”

Helen Ford, Customer Insight Team at Equiniti shared her humbling thoughts from the day:

“As a breast cancer survivor I feel touched by the amount of effort that has been put into the cake sale and dressing in pink. Its heart felt and so amazing to have so much support from everyone here at Equiniti, to raise money and spread the word of breast cancer awareness.”
