The induction courses run by the Training Academy are designed to train six new joiners at any one time and ensure employees feel welcome from the moment they join. Through a comprehensive induction programme they are guided through the course and provided with basic pension training to help equip them in their new role. An ongoing training plan is then created for all new employees based on their specific training requirements.
As well as the induction programme, the Training Academy will be instrumental in up-skilling and multi-skilling existing staff, supporting professional qualifications run by the Pensions Management Institute, Equiniti’s Apprenticeship Programme and career development.
The philosophy of the Academy is to ‘Join, Learn and Grow’, which is reflected through the belief that if employees are made to feel welcome from the start and given consistent initial training, they will feel valued and in turn bring value to their team and Equiniti as a whole.
The first induction programme is already up and running with a dedicated training room set up. All new starters are being introduced to a buddy to help them settle in during their first few weeks with the business.
Sally Clifford, Equiniti Pensions Training Manager, commented: “We are delighted to be involved in the introduction of the Training Academy; it is particularly rewarding to help new joiners on the start of their career path within Equiniti as well as to help and make a difference to existing staff’s training requirements.”
