Natalie Letourneau

Our #TheEQExperts series spotlights the talented individuals we have at EQ.

Introducing Natalie Letourneau, SVP Director of Client Services Operations!

Share about your role at EQ.

I became the Director of Client Services Operations in September 2021. The teams within my oversight, Corporate Client Services, Shareowner Transactions, and Physical Output Operations, are responsible for supporting shareholder & issuer-directed transactions and the incoming and outgoing mail. Within my organization, there is a dotted line relationship with the teams in India who support transactions for clients who allow offshore processing.

I have been part of the Securities Transfer Association (STA) Proxy Committee for several years, was a member of the EQ US Colleague Forum, and have most recently become a member of the EQ Global Colleague Forum (GCF).

What is something special about your location?

I am currently in MN. One of my favorite things about living in MN is that we get to experience all four seasons. There is something great about each season, even though winter usually gets a bad rap; watching the sun reflect off freshly fallen snow crystals is magical! Fun fact that most Minnesotans probably are aware of but for those who are not, North-facing driveways often become a short but exhilarating luge track to the street!

What has happened in your career so far?

Although I have held positions in different business units, most of my career has focused on Operations, both as an individual contributor and a leader. I have been very fortunate to have been able to move within the Shareowner Services organization throughout the last 20 years! I started with Norwest as a teller while attending university. After I graduated, I applied for an internal position closer to home, which landed me at Norwest Shareowner Services as a call center representative. The experience of being in the call center created the foundation of knowledge that allowed me to look at other opportunities within the business as we have grown from NSS to becoming EQ and now integrating with AST. I am excited about the journey and looking forward to the new opportunities that will arise as part of our new organization!

What do you love about your work?

There is something new to learn every day! From our new scanning platform to project Vega, there is never a shortage of opportunities to learn and grow. It is incredibly fulfilling to see the different lines of business coming together and collaborating on solutions to improve our processes, frequently improving our client and shareholder experiences.

What is your biggest EQ achievement?

Not the biggest achievement but a memorable one (back in 2001) was helping build & test the tabulation module within SSP1 and being at the forefront of bringing scanning/imaging into operations. The SSP1 module for tabulation is still used today! I would also consider the divestiture from Wells Fargo as a significant achievement and the successful onboarding of a new large-scale print/mail vendor.

What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?

I'm looking forward to migrating to the Sirius platform, integrating with our new AST colleagues, and becoming the number 1 player in the industry!

Share a fun fact about yourself.

I love to cook and strive to try a new recipe at least once a week. My most recent success was a recipe my husband found on the internet for extra-large, soft chocolate chip cookies. Even though I could only bake one at a time (using a small cookie sheet), the recipe is a keeper! Most epic fail – 5 ingredient recipe for Sweet Corncakes.
