Hi! I'm Nicolle Vazquez, an Implementation Consultant on the End User Computing (EUC) team. We provide production support for U.S. business teams across the organization. I assist in facilitating small projects within the EUC group along with the Risk and Information Security teams.
What is something special about your location?
I am usually based in our Mendota Heights office, but since we are working from home these days, I am based in South Saint Paul, Minnesota, which is minutes away from the office. At first, I didn’t love working from home since I am a collaborator and missed seeing co-workers, but now I absolutely love it. Minnesota has a great Spring and Summer season, so it is always nice to sit on my porch and work away with a nice view.
What has happened in your career so far?
In 2002, I started with Wells Fargo as an analyst in the mortgage department as a contractor and joined Wells as a full-time employee in 2003. My office was in Downtown Minneapolis and then, after a few years, moved to the Wells Fargo campus located in South Minneapolis. I continued to move within our department and began working as a Quality Assurance Analyst, primarily focused on testing. After being in the mortgage industry for twelve years, I moved to Wells Fargo Shareowner Services as an E-Business Consultant and had the pleasure of working with Betty Swords and her web applications team. In 2019, I moved to the EUC team, where I currently report to Dave Weidner.
What do you love about your work?
I love the opportunities EQ provides. I have been able to assist and help other areas within EQ, allowing me to learn and grow with the business. I love how EQ embraces and encourages team collaboration, which is important in our current work environment. I enjoy being able to work with team members here in the U.S. and work with colleagues from across the globe.
What is your biggest EQ achievement?
I know it has been almost three years since Shareowner Services became EQ, but I believe my biggest EQ achievement was being part of the Project Wolf testing team. I was able to learn and work closely with some really smart, amazing team members. We all worked so well together to ensure we would be able to complete the transition from Wells Fargo smoothly, and we were very successful. It was an incredible feeling to be a part of the beginning of EQ.
What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?
I am really excited about where the company is headed. There are many new products and enhancements coming to improve the company, and it’s exciting. EQ is expanding and growing, which will open up many more opportunities for myself and others in the company.
Share a fun fact about yourself.
I wish I had a lot of fun facts to share, but a small fun fact about me is I love animals. I am the proud owner of not one but two Dachshund (wiener dogs) puppies. I have a short-hair silver dapple named Rocket, and a long-hair red baron, named Charlie. I must admit many of my colleagues at EQ either had a Dachshund or currently have a Dachshund. After hearing their stories, I had to get two of them! I love taking them for walks, playing fetch and cuddling with them at night.
