In October 2014, the luxury brand Jimmy Choo, globally recognized for its high-end accessories and famous for its women’s shoes, became an Equiniti client. In late 2015, Jimmy Choo approached Equiniti to review and collaborate on its Annual Meeting (referred to as an AGM in the UK). The company was looking to give all of its shareholders the opportunity to participate without the boundaries of location as well as implement a socially responsible experience. Thus, the vision was to deliver a fully electronic annual meeting, which came to life on June 15, 2016, and became a corporate governance first.
