EQ People

Upholding Human Rights

Good working practice is at the heart of our business. We uphold human rights by identifying, addressing and mitigating adverse human rights impacts both within EQ, and externally with the organisations with whom we work.

 EQ's Human Rights Policy

Our Community

'Collaborative in our approach' is one of EQ's core values. From developing our own organisational culture, being a leading voice in our industries, to actively supporting local communities, we have much to contribute in the 'Social' space. We like to be part of the dialogue, and to put words into action, all EQ colleagues are given two days a year to contribute to a cause of their choice.

The Difference We Make

Colleagues put EQ values into practice, giving time to make a difference.

Renovating A Village School In India

EQ India’s CSR outreach aims include improving education and infrastructure in rural areas. In 2024, EQ India celebrated the completion of its latest ‘EQ Cares’ corporate responsibility project; the renovation of a school. It has significantly improved the educational infrastructure of G.T.R. Higher Secondary School, creating lasting benefits for all its students.

The school in Sathyamangalam, located on the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu border, is home to more than 230 students from class 6 to 10. EQ India are committed to giving back to communities, particularly by supporting initiatives that improve educational facilities. “This project is a testament to our dedication to empowering future generations.” said Anand Ramakrishnan, Managing Director - EQ India.

Almost 7000 volunteer hours given in 2024

At EQ, colleagues receive two days a year to support their local communities. We’re proud of everyone involved. In 2024 our colleagues took part in many excellent initiatives. Using EQ volunteer days, colleagues collectively contributed almost 7,000 hours to good causes.

Projects included supporting schools, general gardening and maintenance activities at local clubs and hospices, marshalling at charity events and taking part in some much-needed beach cleans.

Raising money from unwanted shares with UK charity, ShareGift

Our partnership with Sharegift has facilitated the sale of unwanted shares, raising millions of pounds for good causes over the last decade.

EQ gives its UK shareholders an option to donate to charity when they get in touch with us to make any changes to their holdings. EQ then directs any unwanted shares and cash entitlements to ShareGift.

Equiniti Is An Active Member Of The Purpose Coalition

The Purpose Coalition is made up of organisations who are working to break down barriers to opportunity. The Breaking Down Barriers Commission, part of the Purpose Coalition, “is shaping the role businesses and organisations can play as responsible parts of society committed to breaking down barriers to opportunity for their customers, colleagues and communities.”

MP Steve Race hosted a reception at the House of Commons on 12 March 2025 on behalf of EQ and The Purpose Coalition. A group of MPs, the RT Hon Justine Greening, clients, industry representatives plus EQ employees from the UK, US and India, came together to celebrate the launch of Equiniti’s ‘Breaking Down Barriers Impact Report’.

On the 24th March 2025, EQ was also proud to receive a Breaking Down Barriers Award from The Purpose Coalition for commitment to driving financial inclusion and employee empowerment through Employee Share Plans.
