Achieving the right balance of simplification of regulation and attracting investment in the UK Capital Markets
As consecutive UK Governments confirm their support in making the UK a more attractive listing venue, key areas of focus seek to unlock investment and provide companies the freedom to explain their governance decisions. The panellists will consider how relaxing regulations can be balanced with providing sufficient investor protections. This includes simplification of the listing and prospectus rules.
The panel will consider how this is intended to be supported through an effective Stewardship Code, and the freedoms for companies to consider their messaging in the recently revamped comply or explain Corporate Governance Code.
