Equiniti joins The Financial Times’ 125 Women’s Forum

Friday, 8 March 2019
  • 40 of Equiniti’s outstanding female employees to benefit from FT’s masterclasses and networking opportunities
  • Equiniti continues to invest in its female employees in drive to improve diversity in specialist roles and across its leadership team

Equiniti, a multinational technology and payments specialist, is delighted to announce that it has joined the 125 Women’s Forum run by The Financial Times.

To unleash the potential of its most talented female employees, Equiniti selected 40 female executives it identified as future leaders or outstanding specialists through its annual succession planning to attend the Forum and stimulate their career development.

The leadership programme consists of intellectually challenging editorial discussions run by journalists at The Financial Times and other influential female speakers, as well as giving members a practical network to share experiences and expertise across different companies and sectors.

The initiative marks another step in Equiniti’s commitment to gender diversity across all levels of the business to strengthen performance and innovation. Last year it signed up as a member of the 30% Club targeting 30% female representation on senior leadership teams by the end of 2020.

Rebecca Grattan, Chief People and Transformation Officer at Equiniti, commented:

“It is great news that we are able to offer our outstanding female employees this development programme and hope they will benefit from the expert advice and networking opportunities that the Forum provides.

“We are committed to increasing gender diversity across all levels of the business, but especially within our leadership team. Joining the 30% club last year is one example of that. Since then we have acted on our commitment to boost executive representation by introducing a market leading maternity package, to make life easier for our colleagues due to go on, or return from family leave and have grown and strengthened our colleague Gender Network, supported by male and female senior sponsorship.

“We have made significant progress over the past five years, visibly seeing a pro-active movement of empowered women taking gender parity into their own hands at grass roots level. We hope these initiatives will be another step in our mission to tap into the prodigious talent of our female colleagues.”
