Conference season was in full flow with the IR Society Conference in June and the CGI conference in July. Several of our EQ Advisory colleagues attended with both conferences having interesting topics for discussion and debate, and many opportunities to meet new and familiar faces in the investor relations and corporate governance communities (you might be able to spot some of them here!).

“Members of the Company Secretarial Services and Proxy Solicitation teams, Madeleine Cordes, Sunaina Bhogun and Georgina McHugh attended the annual Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) Conference in July. As well as the opportunity to catch up with many clients and contacts and learn more about tools and resources which could improve effectiveness, the teams came away with lots of useful insights into future ways of working as governance professionals which could benefit our clients. Presentations, panels, and breakout sessions addressed challenges such as diversity, digitalisation, better Board decision-making and conflict management, building an inclusive culture, embedding good governance, ESG action and reporting and how to develop resilience in our roles.”
