Introduction and what your role is at EQ?
Hi, I’m Andrea Miz, a Senior Client Manager on the IR Services team within EQ RDIR. EQ RDIR is part of EQ Advisory. I work with the Investor Relations teams/Senior Management of our Corporate clients to determine who their shareholders are, track their engagement and foster communication with stakeholders.
What office are you located at and tell us something special about this location?
I am based in London. Our new office near Moorgate opened August of last year, and it’s a really great base for meeting with our Corporate clients. I also act as the London representative for the Global Colleague Forum.
What’s happened in your career to this points?
My career started in Wealth & Investment Management with Lehman Brothers in Chicago where I focused on relationship management and portfolio execution. One year later, we were acquired by Barclays where I spent 7 years. Subsequently, our team spun off to start Summit Trail Advisors. Looking for a change, I then moved to London and worked for one of my institutional clients, helping them start up a US location. Wanting to get back into financial services, I started working as a Client Manager at Richard Davies Investor Relations which was acquired by EQ in 2020. Looking back, I’ve been part of quite a few mergers, acquisitions, and startups!
What do you like about EQ?
I like the continuous focus on making this a better place to work. There is always an initiative in place to make things better or more efficient, and there are several methods of communication in place between employees and senior management.
What’s your biggest EQ achievement?
I would say the relationships that I’ve built with my clients are a great achievement. I really enjoy helping them present their investment cases as successfully as we can. Having said that, I also value the relationships I’ve built with my colleagues. We have such a wonderful collaborative team.
What you are looking forward to in the future at EQ?
We are currently working through several phases of updating and refreshing our IR InTouch platform. This will include a new customisable dashboard as well as enhancements to our reporting areas. I’m excited to roll this out to our clients!
Do you have a fun fact or hobby about yourself?
I have run seven marathons in the past and am looking forward to running my first London Marathon next year!
