Chimmy Ngoma Chimmy Ngoma Senior Sales Enablement Manager in EQ Corporate Services

Introduction and what your role is at EQ

I’ve just joined as Senior Sales Enablement Manager in the Share Register Business Development team. My goals are to shape go-to-market plans, streamline sales processes and build market intelligence. Essentially, I want to make it as easy as possible for the BD team to go out and do what they do best: champion clients and showcase EQ’s outstanding services!

What office are you located at?

I’m based in our London offices which arguably may be in the most vibrant city in the world (although I might be a little biased). I just love that whether you’re after food, culture or even a bit of music, there’s always something going on.

What’s happened in your career up to this point?

My journey into financial services started in the FinTech industry where I’ve been known to wear a lot of hats including as an Operations Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer and Implementation Business Analyst. I finally discovered my sweet spot in Sales Enablement, which combines my love of strategic thinking with client connection. I’ve spent most of my career in companies at the forefront of emerging technology in both DLT (blockchain) and, more recently, directing pre-sales at an AI company. Clients I’ve worked with span the Wealth and Asset Management industry including HSBC, Schroders and Hargreaves Lansdown – all of whom I’m delighted to see are clients of EQ!

What do you like about EQ?

It’s easily the people! Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly friendly, down-to-earth and open to new ideas, which makes a huge difference when you’re settling in somewhere new. There’s also a genuine sense of momentum here. The business is evolving and that’s exciting to be a part of.

What's your biggest EQ achievement?

Having only been here a month, I’m still getting stuck in! But being a part of a visit to the London Stock Exchange so early on was definitely a highlight (we almost rang the bell!)

What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?

There’s a huge amount of transformation happening across the industry and EQ feels like one of the few players genuinely leaning into that change rather than resisting it. I’m excited to be a part of a business not just responding to these shifts but actively shaping how we adapt and lead in a more digital, investor-focused future.

What hobbies do you enjoy?

I’m pretty passionate about making financial services (and the world!) a more diverse and inclusive space.

Outside of EQ, I sit on the board of Her Wealth Network (formerly Women In Asset Servicing) and host Talent Talks, a podcast that spotlights women in Finance and FinTech.

As an active voice for industry change, I've spoken at notable events including IMpower's FundForum, and facilitated/spoken on panels hosted by organisations such as Northern Trust, O2/Virgin Media, Channel 4 and Morningstar. I've judged initiatives such as "Let's Get Professional" by Generating Genius and Salesforce, "Find Your Voice" by Her Wealth Network and IMPower, and "Alter Ego 2025" with Hackney Empire. I was also a 2025 participant at the UN Women UK Commission on the Status of Women, contributing to global conversations about increasing access for women in tech.

I also serve as a Trustee for Waves Music Therapy and a Patron for the Free Books Campaign, where I help organise an annual literature festival with 3000 attendees and brand partners like Netflix, Google, Gymshark, Spotify and Channel 4.

It’s also been an absolute honour to be recognised for my work. I received a Calastone Value Champion award, was featured in Disruptors magazine for challenging industry norms, and named in both INvolve's Future Leaders Role Model List 2022 (Involve, Yahoo Finance) and Women in FinTech Powerlist 2022 (Innovate Finance, Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays and EY). I’ve actually just been nominated for an award in Tech Women’s Celebration 50 list 2025 – so keep your fingers crossed for me!

I think it’s safe to say I like to keep busy… sleep is for the organised!

A big thank you to Chimmy for sharing her thoughts with us.
