I’m Mohammed Eliaz, an experienced Operations Manager at Equiniti India, where I’ve been part of the team for over 11 years. My role involves leading and managing the UK Employee Share Plan operations team, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence for our clients. I focus on driving efficiency, fostering collaboration, and implementing situational leadership to empower my team and deliver outstanding results. Working at Equiniti has given me the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that support businesses and their employees globally.
What office are you located at?
I’m based at Equiniti’s Chennai office, located in the DLF SEZ IT Park, Manapakkam. This location is special because it’s not just a hub for advanced technology and operations—it’s a place where collaboration and innovation thrive. Our Chennai team plays a vital role in delivering world-class services for Equiniti’s global clients. Personally, I love the energy here—the modern infrastructure, vibrant work culture, and the sense of community make it an inspiring environment to grow and contribute.
What’s happened in your career up to this point?
My career at Equiniti has been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and resilience. I joined as a Team Leader in April 2014 and was promoted to Operations Manager in November 2021. Today, I manage teams across three locations—Chennai, Bangalore, and Worthing, UK—driving operational excellence and client satisfaction.
One of my proudest milestones has been leading a team of over 250+ FTEs in 2022, ensuring seamless service delivery during a period of significant transformation. This journey hasn’t been without challenges—navigating the COVID pandemic in 2020 and 2021 required agility and a strong focus on employee well-being while maintaining business continuity. In 2021 and 2022, we faced high attrition, which tested our leadership and engagement strategies. These experiences taught me the value of adaptability, resilience, and the power of teamwork.
Every step has reinforced my passion for empowering people and building high-performing teams that make a real difference.

Along the way, I’ve been honoured with multiple recognitions, including Leader of the Quarter and Leader of the Year awards, and being part of the Winning Team of the Year. These accolades reflect not just my efforts but the incredible teamwork and collaboration that define Equiniti. These experiences have reinforced my belief in resilience, adaptability, and the power of people working together toward a common goal.

Do you have a fun fact to share?
Outside of work, I’m passionate about cricket and was an avid snooker player during my school days. Now, as a proud father of two daughters, I love spending quality time with my family. I’m a jovial and social person who enjoys planning and executing trips with my office colleagues at least once a year—it’s a great way to bond and create lasting memories. For me, life is all about balancing professional excellence with personal happiness.
