Sarah Beamish Senior Relationship Director of All Employee Share Plans Introduction and what your role is at EQ
I manage a team of Share Plan Managers who work closely with companies to deliver their SIP and SAYE share plan strategy. We work closely as a team to share insights and best practice so that we can continue to drive employee engagement and add value to our client relationships.
I also work closely with other areas of our business to shape our development roadmap and ensure we future proof our client’s needs.
What office are you located at and tell us something special about this location?
Worthing by the sea! Our Operations and Product Teams are also based in Worthing, so it enables us to all work closely together as one team.
What’s happened in your career up to this point?
I initially worked in our Corporate Actions department before becoming a Share Plan Manager in ES.
I spent 5 years working as a Share Plan Manager, 10 years as a Client Relationship Manager looking after the Exec/Discretionary needs for clients and required me to commute to London and Ipswich and the last 4 years I have been in my current role.
To support my career progression, I have also taken the opportunity to further develop my skills through additional learning. I have a degree in in Corporate Governance and whilst working at Equiniti, I took the opportunity to become a Chartered Company Secretary. This took 3 years of study but allowed me to understand our clients and their governance framework.
What do you like about EQ?
The People! The knowledge and expertise we have around us enables us all to constantly develop and grow as individuals.
What's your biggest EQ achievement?
Maybe not the biggest but the most recent is around financial education and the use of the EQi Flexible Stocks and Shares ISA. It’s great to know that the work we have done has helped employees make an informed decision when making their financial choices at maturity.
What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?
The technology – this is an exciting time for EQ. The items we have on our 2025 Roadmap will transform the service we offer to clients and their employees.
What hobbies do you enjoy?
I love going to concerts and shows! Anything with a live band!
