ASC 718 VALUATION & FINANCIAL REPORTING
Any public company that offers compensation in the form of an equity award must account for and expense that award as outlined by the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) Topic 718 – commonly referred to as ASC 718.

Beyond traditional plan administration, companies must comply with reporting requirements outlined in ASC 718. For some companies, this can be a recordkeeping nightmare.
