Joe Campbell Regional Director, EQ Introduction and what your role is at EQ
I’m a Regional Director on our Business Development team, leading client engagement and growth initiatives across the West Coast for Capital Markets and Equity Services offerings.
What office are you located at?
I work remotely in the Seattle area. Yes, it certainly rains a lot, but I like to think the rain produces better fishing conditions.
What’s happened in your career up to this point?
I have spent nearly 30 years in the registry and shareholders services space, working across multiple organizations and gaining a broad, end-to-end perspective of the industry. I began my career in operational support. I later transitioned into relationship management, including managing a regional team and serving as a primary point of contact for key clients. For the past 8 years, I have focused on business development, leveraging my operational and client-facing experience to help design and deliver solutions that align with issuer needs and growth objectives.
What do you like about EQ?
What I appreciate most about EQ is the people and the culture. There is an extraordinary level of teamwork across the organization, and a strong willingness to help one another succeed. The collaborative environment makes it easy to do our best work and deliver great outcomes, especially as we embrace the mindset of becoming client-obsessed.
What's your biggest EQ achievement?
My proudest achievement is how quickly I’ve embraced the EQ culture and become a contributing member of the team. It’s less about the individual transactions I’ve worked on but more about embedding myself in a collaborative, client-obsessed environment that drives success. I like to say there is no “I” in team, and collectively working together, there is no limit to our achievements.
What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?
Looking ahead, I’m excited about helping EQ become the number one equity service provider globally and being the global standard for excellence in client service and innovation.
Do you have a fun fact to share?
Many colleagues call me “Coug”, a nod to my alma mater Washington State University, and my lifelong passion for WSU Cougar sports. I’ve held football season tickets for 25 years and I enjoy tailgating in my RV with family and friends. A major highlight for me – attending College GameDay in Pullman when Minshew was quarterback in 2018. Go Cougs!
A big thank you to Joe for sharing his thoughts with us.
