Kaili Roff Relationship Director, EQ Introduction and what your role is at EQ
I am Kaili Roff and I recently transitioned into a Relationship Director role within EQ where I manage a team of Relationship Managers who deliver corporate clients with a portfolio of stock transfer and related financial services products. Formerly I was in a Relationship Manager role myself and have held numerous other positions throughout my 21 + years at EQ.
What office are you located at?
I currently work out of Mendota Heights, MN and can remember when we first moved there from our prior offices in South St. Paul. This Mendota Heights location is in a great location because it is just far enough outside of the twin cities to not have the traffic impact but is also close to MSP international airport which is convenient when travel is needed.
What’s happened in your career up to this point?
I’ve seen a lot in my time so far at EQ. I’ve seen advances within the systems and platforms utilized as well as changes in initiatives and regulations within the overall Transfer Agent landscape. I was here when Equiniti purchased our business from Wells Fargo in 2016 and then the subsequent merger with AST to become one of the worlds largest and most trusted Transfer Agents. Over the years we have grown partnerships with some of the industry’s most respected companies such as D.F. King and Notified. Throughout my time here, I’ve worked in many different areas of the business which expanded my overall knowledge base. I met many people from all over the world which helped me to become a better communicator and best of all, I have made a lot of lifelong connections.
What do you like about EQ?
My absolute favorite thing about EQ is our people. EQ truly has the best the industry has to offer not only in knowledge and expertise but in character. I am so fortunate to work with my colleagues, from whom I am constantly able to learn and grow, and to know them on an individual level.
What's your biggest EQ achievement?
I’m proud of my overall length of service with EQ, which started immediately after high-school and continues to this day. I’ve also won a few service awards over the years of which I am of course very proud. However, I would consider my biggest achievement to date to be the relationships I have been able to grow during my time in the Relationship Management team, during which I have had the opportunity to take part in of some of the largest corporate events in the industry.
What are you looking forward to in the future at EQ?
In my new role as a Relationship Director, I am looking forward to working with a great team of Relationship Managers and Account Associates who currently maintain diverse portfolios of EQ’s prominent clients. I look forward to learning and growing in this leadership position and being able to help others learn and grow as well.
Do you have a fun fact to share?
My name is often mispronounced but you wouldn’t know it because I’m “Minnesota nice” and I won’t correct you. It’s pronounced Ky-lee but spelled Kaili, which is a Hawaiian name. Although not Hawaiian myself, my mom loved it there and wanted me to have a Hawaiian name to reflect her love of Hawaii. Growing up, I never knew anyone who had the same name as me. These days, the name Kylee is a lot more popular but I never see it spelled the same way as mine which makes me feel special. Thanks Mom!
A big thank you to Kaili for sharing her thoughts with us.
